Symbolics LGP

Symbolics supplied a Laser Graphics Printer (LGP), a Canon system. Before trashing one of mine, I explored inside. It was beautifully manufactured. A thick aluminum chassis held the laser and rotating mirror assembly. The main PCB even included a 68000 chip - at the time, Symbolics included a 68000 chip in the monitor, and here was another in the printer, and Sun Microsystems were selling their competing workstations based on the same chip as central CPU. Anyway, here's a snap. And just to show off the resolution available on modern digital cameras, I've included a blow up from the original image of the 68k chip and a section of the chips which show they were made in Brazil, Taiwan and Malaysia (so we suffered from globalization even back then).
